President Emmerson Mnangagwa leads the National Youth Day celebrations in Lupane
His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa leads the National Youth Day celebrations in Lupane in the Matabeleland North province. The theme for this year is, “Drug and substance abuse: A threat to vision 2030, every community has a responsibility.”
Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) joins the rest of the country to celebrate the ‘Robert Gabriel Mugabe National Youth Day’. The date of the holiday is 21st February falling on the late former President’s birthday. Even though he is no longer here with us, his role in the founding of Zimbabwe as an independent nation and his passion for empowering adolescents and young people will forever remain cherished.
As ZNFPC we have the Adolescent and Youth Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) youth-friendly programme implemented in 24 Youth Centres across the country. The programme offers youth-friendly services for In and Out of School youths, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), Parent to Child Communication (PCC), in and out door games, life skills education, health education Group Talks, free Wi-Fi and library services.
