Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) joins the rest of the nation in congratulating His Excellency, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa following Zimbabwe’s significant diplomatic milestone as it secured a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council during elections held at the U.N Headquarters in New York on 3rd June 2026. This achievement is an endorsement of his foreign policy of being a ‘friend to all and enemy to none’. Zimbabwe’s increased participation in regional and global forums advances its position anchored on peace, sustainable development, multilateralism and respect for national sovereignty, ‘leaving no one and no place behind’.
