Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) engaged with the Zimbabwe Senate Thematic Committee on HIV and AIDS on the 23rd March 2026, to present programmatic interventions being implemented to address Family Planning, HIV Testing Services, Reproductive Health and youth-friendly service provision. Discussions focused on accelerating the reduction of new infections and managing existing treatment programs, particularly focusing on community-led approaches and reducing stigma.
ZNFPC Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Farai Machinga highlighted essential areas of focus including; Provision of quality integrated health service provision, male involvement in Family Planning, adolescent and youth-health services, advocacy initiatives, resource mobilization, digital health interventions and community participation.

The Committee Chairperson, Honourable Senator Angeline Tongogara reiterated on the essence of public-private partnerships, improving access and inclusivity to address the needs of marginalized groups, such as those with disabilities, those out of school, or young people in informal settlements.
