Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) joins the rest of the world in commemorating International Condom Day (ICD). Condoms continue to be a reliable, trusted, and highly effective form of dual protection that prevents HIV, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and unintended pregnancies. Celebrated annually on the 13th February, this year’s theme is, ‘Safer is Sexy’.
ZNFPC distributes Public Sector condoms, focusing on free distribution of condom brands such as the ‘Blue Gold’ male condom and Female Condom (FC2). Since its inception in 2009, the International Condom Day has been an informal observance celebrated in conjunction with Valentine’s Day. As we celebrate love this Valentine let’s remember, ‘Safer is Sexy’.
