The Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) appointed Mr Farai Machinga as the substantive Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 1 October 2025. Mr Machinga is a distinguished public health specialist with over 15 years of extensive experience across various developmental sectors including government, and non-governmental settings. In his previous role as acting CEO, Mr Machinga led ZNFPC to many outstanding corporate and personal achievements. He was voted as the Outstanding CEO in Parastatals and Public Governance among other recognitions.
Mr Machinga has served as Director Technical Services and acting CEO of ZNFPC among other roles. His track record of operational excellence, strategic foresight, as well as regional and international engagement positions him uniquely to lead ZNFPC into its next chapter, one that demands innovation, resilience and bold thinking.
